The Ashland Advantage
"The Ashland Advantage" is a popular phrase used widely by the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce.Ashland Economic Development realized it would be the best title for our web site as well after compilation of data for the web site and the conclusion that Ashland and Ohio have great advantages for all types of businesses.
The most apparent advantage is location.Ashland is located along I-71 equidistant between Cleveland and Columbus. This provides companies with an enormous benefit in the transportation area and businesses located in Ashland are perfectly located to take advantage of these resources.
Another advantage to our mid-western town is Ashland University. The local University is a true partner within the local business community. The Dauch College of Business and Economics at A.U. is partnering with the community's economic development efforts in many ways. This includes theSmallBusinessDevelopmentCenter, the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, and Internship opportunities to bring fresh, new ideas to our local businesses.
Advantages can also be realized by the tremendous partnerships and dedication to the businesses within Ashland. The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce is a true partner in the economic development efforts of the area. One example is the development of the market research division within the Chamber which assisted with this web site by compiling the data for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) sheets.
